I love Christmas! I love the calm white lights that come from my Christmas tree and mantle in the evenings. I planned on lighting up my front tree and adding pathway lights, but my helper fell off his ladder with his acts of service for me. Hint, invest in a timer for your lights so you don’t have to worry about plugging in and unplugging your outdoor lights. OutdoorĪs much as I would love to have an obnoxiously huge inflatable or light up something in my yard, I don’t know where I will be next year. Then, I added more faux floral from Target in my vases. I grabbed this eucalyptus and pinecone garland to set up as a table runner. You don’t want to be moving things out of the way every time you sit down to eat. If you use your table and want it to stay functional, keep it simple. I fell in love with this little beagle puppy felt ornament from West Elm, so I added him to my mantle. You can use ornaments in more ways than just hanging on a tree. They have some cute stocking options there too, so mix and match. Instead of nailing a bunch of stockings to my fireplace, I grabbed this stocking holder from Target. Instead, I throw Christmas in with my normal decor. Sticking with the simple and minimal, I don’t want to box up a bunch of stuff just to set out a bunch of Christmas stuff for a month. Mantleīesides a tree, mantle’s are often the focal point of any Christmas decorated living room. My tree skirt is from West Elm a few years ago. My theme is woodland animals, because I love the neutral colors. Since I wanted to go for minimal, I limited the number of ornaments I hung up and stuck with just themed ones. Christmas trees are all about an individual’s taste. Living in a smaller house with shorter ceilings, I invested in a thin, 7 foot tree. I threw a cozy Christmas pillow to make it another festive spot. If you follow me on Instagram, you know my fiddle leaf fig tree died, so I recently replaced it with a snake plant. I had to do some rearranging of furniture to center my tree in my window, but I am kind of in love with this new cozy spot. If you are fortunate enough to have a front facing window where your tree can go, definitely put it there. The great thing about letter boards is that they can be changed for every season, and I have actually remembered to change it. Another easy way to transform your entryway is a letter board. The addition of fresh pine and spruce make my house smell wonderful. I added some decorative faux holly florals in my white vase, and a couple of sprigs of Trader Joe’s Christmas bouquet. One was plenty long enough for my entryway table, so I put the other on the mantle. Grab some florals and greenery to give your entryway a warm, Christmasy feel. I found the garland in the dollar section of Target, and snagged a couple of these for $3 each. It’s also one of my favorite spots, so I wanted to spruce it up.
